Terms of Service

The service

LoudNorm normalizes the loudness of audio files (including MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and OGG) to published loudness targets such as LUFS presets for podcast and broadcast platforms, on a subscription basis. We may add or retire presets and formats over time; the ones available when you normalize are the ones shown on the site.

Plans and limits

Each plan has a monthly allowance of audio minutes, a per-file size limit and a per-upload batch limit, as shown on the pricing page. Usage is counted in minutes of audio successfully normalized. Allowances reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over. We enforce limits on the server; attempts to bypass them may lead to suspension.

Your files and responsibilities

Accuracy

We measure and report the integrated loudness, true peak and loudness range of every file before and after normalization, and flag results that land outside the ±1 LUFS tolerance, but loudness processing of extreme source material (heavy clipping, silence, very wide dynamics) can land off target despite correct processing. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.

Payments and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle, our merchant of record. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period and then returns to the Free plan. Refunds follow our refund policy.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
